# Managed Support

DigitalFyre offers an optional **Managed Support** add-on for bare metal servers. This is a paid service that covers proactive server management, security, and maintenance. Each subscription applies to a single server unless otherwise specified in writing.

## What Is Included

### Hardware Monitoring and Maintenance

* Proactive monitoring and routine checks by on-site datacenter technicians
* Early failure detection and coordinated hardware replacements

### Operating System Maintenance

* Vendor-supported OS patching and system updates
* Kernel updates, basic performance tuning, and routine security hardening

### Control Panel Maintenance

* cPanel and Plesk are supported within vendor guidelines
* Patching, configuration assistance, and performance tuning

### Security and Firewall Management

* Initial server hardening and panel-level security configurations
* Ongoing firewall management (CSF, iptables)
* Basic Web Application Firewall (WAF) setup with Imunify360, ModSecurity, or Cloudflare
* **Cloudflare Pro Setup** — DigitalFyre will configure and manage one site under a DigitalFyre-managed Cloudflare Pro account

### Remote Backups

* Setup and management of off-site backups via S3, Wasabi, or Rsync
* Backup validation and basic disaster recovery planning

### Priority Support Access

* Priority routing through the enterprise support queue

## Scope Limitations

### End-of-Life Software

Servers running outdated or unsupported operating systems or control panels fall outside the scope of managed support. End-of-life software does not receive vendor security updates, leaving systems vulnerable to threats. Clients are strongly advised to upgrade to supported software for continued coverage.

## Backups Without Managed Support

If you do not need the full Managed Support package but want backup capabilities, DigitalFyre can provide backup space and licensing (JetBackup or R1Soft) as a standalone paid add-on. Contact `support@digitalfyre.com` to discuss options.

## Onboarding

When you purchase Managed Support, the DigitalFyre team will reach out to define your specific needs and scope. If the requested setup falls outside the scope of this service, you will be informed — and the add-on fee refunded if necessary.
