# Registering a Domain

You can register a new domain directly from the customer portal or from the DigitalFyre website.

## From the Customer Portal

    Log in at `console.digitalfyre.com`.

  <Step title="Start a Search">
    Navigate to **Domains** in the sidebar and click **+ Add New**, or open any domain's management page and click **Register a New Domain** in the Actions section of the left sidebar.

  <Step title="Search and Select">
    Search for your desired domain name, select the TLD and registration period.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Complete Checkout">
    Review your order and complete checkout.

## From the Website

  <Step title="Go to the Domain Search">
    Navigate to `digitalfyre.com/domains` and enter your desired domain name in the search bar.

  <Step title="Select and Checkout">
    Select from available TLDs and complete checkout.

## After Registration

Once registration is complete, your domain appears in the **My Domains** list. From there you can:

* Configure [nameservers](/domains/management/nameservers)
* Enable [ID Protection](/domains/management/id-protection)
* Enable [auto-renewal](/domains/management/auto-renew)
* Update [contact information](/domains/management/contact-information)
* Add the domain to the [DNS Manager](/client-portal/dns/dns-manager)

## Premium Domains

Some TLDs have "Premium Domains" — short, high-demand names that cost more than standard registrations. If you order a premium domain, the DigitalFyre team will confirm your request and pricing before provisioning it.

## Included With Every Domain

All domains registered through DigitalFyre include at no additional cost:

* DNS management (via DNS Manager or registrar-level)
* WHOIS Privacy / ID Protection (on supported TLDs)
* Registrar Lock
* Email Forwarding
