# Adding External Accounts

OX App Suite supports connecting external IMAP email accounts so you can view and manage all your email from a single interface. This works with any IMAP-compatible provider, including Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook.com, and others.

## Adding an External Account

  <Step title="Open Accounts Settings">
    In OX App Suite, go to **Settings → Accounts** and click **Add email account**.

  <Step title="Enter Credentials">
    Enter the external email address and password, then click **Add**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review Settings">
    OX App Suite will attempt to auto-detect the provider's IMAP settings. If auto-detection fails, enter the server details manually (IMAP server, port, and encryption method).

Once added, email from the external account will appear alongside your primary mailbox in the folder tree.

## Managing Connected Accounts

Connected accounts are listed under **Settings → Accounts → Your Accounts**:

| Action     | Description                                                                        |
| ---------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Edit**   | Update the account credentials or server settings                                  |
| **Remove** | Disconnect the external account (does not delete email from the external provider) |

## Subscriptions

The **Subscriptions** section under Accounts allows you to manage subscriptions to external data sources. This is separate from email accounts and is used for importing external data feeds into OX App Suite.
