# Logging In to OX App Suite

OX App Suite is the web-based email interface for your Open-Xchange mailbox. It provides access to your email, calendar, contacts, tasks, and (on the Productivity plan) cloud storage and document editing.

## Webmail Login

    Enter your full email address (e.g., `user@example.com`) and password, then click **Sign in**.

You can also access OX App Suite directly from the customer portal by clicking **Log in to OX App Suite** in the sidebar of your service.

## First Login

On your first login, you may want to:

* Set your **time zone and language** under **Settings → General**
* Choose your preferred **mail layout** (vertical, horizontal, or list view) under **Settings → Mail**
* Set up [two-factor authentication](/open-xchange-email/ox-app-suite/security-settings) for added security
* Customize your **start app** — the default app that opens when you log in (Mail, Calendar, etc.)

## Settings Overview

The Settings panel is accessible from the gear icon in the top-right corner of OX App Suite.

| **General**       | Theme, accent colors, dark mode, language, time zone, start app, quick launch bar, keyboard shortcuts         |
| **Notifications** | Desktop notifications, calendar/task email alerts, birthday reminders                                         |
| **Security**      | Active devices, two-step verification, application passwords, external image blocking                         |
| **Accounts**      | Connected external email accounts, subscriptions                                                              |
| **Mail**          | Layout, reading pane, inbox categories, signatures, compose defaults, rules, templates, access lists, folders |
| **Calendar**      | Time scale, working week, reminders, additional time zones                                                    |
| **Address Book**  | Name format, map service, trash auto-delete, shared address books                                             |
| **Portal**        | Dashboard widgets (Inbox, Appointments, Tasks, Birthdays)                                                     |
| **Groups**        | Create and manage user groups                                                                                 |
| **Resources**     | Shared resources                                                                                              |
| **Your Data**     | Download a personal data export                                                                               |
