# Restoring Emails from a Backup

JetBackup can restore individual mailboxes or specific emails from any backup taken within the last 30 days.

## Restoring a Mailbox

<Steps>
  <Step title="Go to Backups">
    Log in to Plesk and click **Backups** in the left sidebar to open JetBackup.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Mail Backups">
    Click **Mail Backups** from the JetBackup dashboard.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a Backup Date">
    Select the backup date you want to restore from.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select the Mailbox">
    Choose the mailbox you want to restore. You can restore the entire mailbox or expand it to select individual emails.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Restore">
    Click **Restore Selected**. The emails will be restored to the mailbox.

  Whole restored emails may not be merged into the existing mailbox — emails received between the backup date and restoration date may be lost. If you need a clean restore, contact support, and we can assist.
