# What is WP Cloud & PanelAlpha?

DigitalFyre WordPress Hosting is powered by **WP Cloud** — the same high-performance platform that runs WordPress.com's Business and eCommerce plans, built by Automattic specifically for speed, security, and scalability.

**PanelAlpha** is the control panel you use to manage your WP Cloud WordPress sites. It provides a single interface for launching sites, managing plugins and themes, handling backups, monitoring analytics, and configuring advanced settings — without needing to log in to WordPress directly for most tasks.

## WP Cloud Key Features

* **NVMe storage** — 25 GB per hosting plan, fast SSD-backed storage
* **Edge Caching** — Server-side caching that improves Time to First Byte (TTFB) by serving pages from the closest available server
* **Built-in WAF** — Web Application Firewall active on all sites at all times
* **Automatic SSL** — Certificates issued via Google Trust Services, applied automatically
* **Anycast IPs** — Each instance is assigned two Anycast IP addresses for redundancy and performance
* **PHP 8.x** — All sites run on PHP 8.x; you can select your preferred version from PanelAlpha
* **Cloudflare DNS** — DNS is managed through Cloudflare for fast propagation and global resilience

## Available Locations

WordPress Hosting is available in the following datacenter locations:

* Ashburn, USA
* Dallas, USA
* Los Angeles, USA
* Amsterdam, Netherlands

## What PanelAlpha Manages

PanelAlpha is organized into two main areas:

**My Instances** — Manage individual WordPress installations. Each instance has its own Site Details, Monitoring, Backups, Plugins, and Advanced settings tabs.

**My Hosting** — Manage the hosting account itself: domains, SSH/SFTP accounts, databases, cron jobs, file manager, and DNS.
