OX App Suite provides several security features to protect your account. Access these from Settings → Security in the OX App Suite interface.

Your Devices

The Your devices section shows all devices and sessions currently signed in to your account. Each entry displays the application name, browser, operating system, and whether the session is currently active. If you see an unfamiliar device, click Sign out on that session to revoke its access. Click Sign out from all devices to terminate every active session, including your current one.

Two-Step Verification (2FA)

Two-step verification adds an extra layer of security using a TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password) authenticator app.
1

Open 2FA Settings

Go to Settings → Security → Two-step verification.
2

Scan QR Code

Follow the setup prompts to scan the QR code with your authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password).
3

Confirm

Enter the verification code to confirm. Once enabled, you will be prompted for a code each time you log in.

Application Passwords

Application passwords allow you to create dedicated passwords for third-party email clients, mobile devices, or other apps accessing your mailbox via IMAP/SMTP. These passwords have limited access and can be revoked individually without changing your main password.
1

Open Application Passwords

Go to Settings → Security → Application Passwords.
2

Create a Password

Click to create a new password and give it a descriptive name (e.g., iPhone Mail, Thunderbird).
3

Copy and Use

Copy the generated password and use it in your email client or app.

External Images in Emails

By default, OX App Suite may block external images in incoming emails to reduce tracking. Adjust this behavior under Settings → Security → External images in emails to always load, always block, or prompt before loading.
