DigitalFyre bare metal servers are built to order. Every server is custom-configured to your specifications, and the operating system is installed and configured by DigitalFyre before delivery.

Ordering Process

Bare metal servers are not self-service. The ordering process is consultative:
1

Contact DigitalFyre

Reach out via sales or support to discuss your requirements.
2

Specification

Work with the team to define your hardware (CPU, RAM, storage, network uplink, GPU if needed), datacenter location, and operating system.
3

Provisioning

DigitalFyre builds and configures the server to your specifications.
4

Delivery

You receive access credentials, and your server is ready to use.
The typical provisioning lead time is three to five business days, depending on the datacenter location and hardware availability.

What DigitalFyre Configures

Before handing the server over, DigitalFyre:
  • Installs and configures the operating system to your specifications
  • Assigns your IP addresses (/29 IPv4 included by default)
  • Configures network connectivity
  • Enables out-of-band management (iKVM access)
  • Sets up default ICMP monitoring on your primary IP

After Delivery

Once your server is delivered:
  1. Log in to the customer portal at console.digitalfyre.com to view your server details
  2. Check the Access Credentials tab for your root/admin login
  3. Connect via SSH using your primary IP and credentials
  4. Change your password immediately after first login
  5. Apply any pending OS updates
apt update && apt upgrade -y

Non-Refundable

Bare metal servers are custom-built physical hardware provisioned specifically for you. They are non-refundable. If you want to test DigitalFyre’s network quality before committing, spin up a VPS (which runs on the same backbone) or use the Looking Glass for ping tests from each datacenter location.
