You can reinstall the operating system on your bare-metal server either yourself or by requesting that DigitalFyre do it for you.

Option 1: Self-Service via iKVM

If you want to handle the reinstall yourself, you can use the iKVM console to interact with the installation process: PXE Boot — Boot the server via PXE from the iKVM console and load your preferred installer or ISO. TenantOS Templates — In select datacenter locations, OS templates are available through TenantOS for direct installation. Pre-loaded ISOs — Some locations have ISOs already available that you can boot from. To perform a self-service reinstall:
1

Open the iKVM Console

Navigate to your server’s product details page and click the iKVM Console tab.
2

Select Your Boot Source

Access the server’s boot menu or BIOS/UEFI to select your installation source (PXE, ISO, or TenantOS template).
3

Follow the OS Installer

Complete the installation using the OS installer prompts.
4

Configure Networking

After installation, configure your network interfaces with your assigned IP addresses.
Reinstalling an OS destroys all data on the target drive(s). Ensure you have backups of anything you need before proceeding.

Option 2: Request via Support

If you prefer DigitalFyre to handle the reinstall:
  1. Open a support ticket at console.digitalfyre.com
  2. Specify the operating system you want installed
  3. Include any configuration requirements
  4. DigitalFyre will perform the install and update your credentials
This follows the same process as the initial provisioning — DigitalFyre installs and configures the OS to your specifications.
