You can submit a cancellation request for your VPS through the Client Portal. Cancellations take effect either at the end of your billing period or immediately.

Submitting a Cancellation

1

Log In to the Client Portal

Go to console.digitalfyre.com and navigate to your VPS service.
2

Request Cancellation

Select Request Cancellation.
3

Choose a Cancellation Type

  • End of Billing Period — Service remains active until your current paid period expires. No further invoices are generated.
  • Immediate — Service is terminated promptly after the request is processed.
4

Confirm

Optionally provide a reason and confirm the request.

Before You Cancel

Once a VPS is terminated, all data on the server is permanently deleted — files, databases, configurations, OS, and backups. This cannot be reversed.
Before cancelling, ensure you have:
  • Downloaded any files you need via SFTP or SCP
  • Exported any databases using mysqldump, pg_dump, or equivalent
  • Saved any configurations you may want to reuse
  • Updated any DNS records pointing to this server’s IP addresses
  • Migrated any running services to a new server if applicable

Reversing a Cancellation

If you submitted an End of Billing Period cancellation and change your mind before the period expires, contact support at console.digitalfyre.com to reverse the request. Immediate cancellations cannot be reversed once the server has been terminated.
