If you have an existing WordPress site hosted elsewhere, you can import it into your DigitalFyre WordPress Hosting account. This can be done self-service from PanelAlpha, or our support team can handle the migration for you.

Option 1 — Self-Service Import

1

Open PanelAlpha

2

Click Add New

Click the + Add New button in the top-right corner.
3

Select Import Existing WordPress Instance

In the modal, choose Import Existing WordPress Instance and click Continue.
4

Fill In the Import Form

Provide your current hosting details. You will need:
  • FTP, SFTP, or SSH access to your current host
  • A database backup (exported via phpMyAdmin or mysqldump)
5

Complete the Import

Follow the remaining steps. PanelAlpha will pull your files and database from the existing host.

Option 2 — Free Migration Assistance

If you prefer, DigitalFyre’s support team can handle the migration for you at no charge. Open a support ticket at console.digitalfyre.com and include:
  • Your current hosting provider and control panel access details
  • The domain name you want to migrate
  • Any specific requirements or deadlines
Free migration assistance is available for all WordPress Hosting plans. Our team will coordinate the transfer and minimise downtime during the move.

After Importing

  • Point your domain’s nameservers to DigitalFyre once the import is complete — see DNS Zone Editor
  • Verify your SSL certificate is applied under Advanced → Security
  • Test your site thoroughly before updating DNS to confirm everything transferred correctly

Important Notes

Avoid installing caching plugins on WP Cloud. The platform includes built-in Edge Cache which handles caching automatically. Third-party caching plugins will conflict with Edge Cache and can cause unpredictable behaviour or degraded performance.
WP Cloud uses an Nginx-based stack and does not support .htaccess rules. If your existing site relies on .htaccess for redirects or access control, contact support to discuss alternatives before migrating.
