Enabling the Addon
Once enabled, you can manage basic DNS records for your domain through the registrar’s interface.
When to Use This
Use DNS Host Record Management only if you need to keep your domain on the default (registrar) nameservers — for example, if you are using the Email Forwarding addon, which requires default nameservers.Recommended Alternative
For most use cases, the DNS Manager in the customer portal sidebar is the better option:| Feature | DNS Host Record Management | DNS Manager |
|---|---|---|
| Record types | Basic | A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, SRV, NS, CAA, AFSDB, DNAME |
| Record limits | Limited | 200 per zone, 20 per type |
| Network | Registrar DNS | AnyCAST DNS |
| Non-DigitalFyre domains | No | Yes |
ns1-4.digitalfyre.net and add the domain in the DNS Manager. See DNS Manager.
