You can transfer your domain from DigitalFyre to another registrar at any time. The process requires disabling the registrar lock and providing the EPP code to the new registrar.

Steps

1

Disable Registrar Lock

Navigate to your domain’s management page, click Registrar Lock in the left sidebar, and toggle the lock to Off. See Registrar Lock for details.
2

Verify Contact Information

Ensure your registrant email address is correct and accessible — transfer approval emails are sent to this address. If you need to update it, do so before starting the transfer. Changing registrant contact information triggers a 60-day transfer lock. See Contact Information.
3

Get Your EPP Code

Click Get EPP Code in the left sidebar. The code is sent to your registrant email address. See Get EPP Code.
4

Initiate Transfer at the New Registrar

At your new registrar, initiate a domain transfer and provide your domain name and the EPP code you received.
5

Approve the Transfer

You may receive a transfer approval email. Approving it expedites the transfer. If you take no action, most transfers auto-complete after 5 days.

After Transfer

Once the transfer completes, the domain is no longer managed through DigitalFyre. All DNS, renewal, and contact management moves to your new registrar.
If you were using DigitalFyre’s DNS Manager for your domain’s records, those records will stop resolving once the nameservers are changed at the new registrar. Ensure your DNS records are set up at the new registrar or a third-party DNS provider before or immediately after the transfer.
