An EPP code (also called an authorization code or auth code) is a security credential required to transfer a domain to another registrar. It ensures that only the domain owner can authorize a transfer.

Requesting Your EPP Code

1

Navigate to Your Domain

Open your domain’s management page and click Get EPP Code in the left sidebar.
2

Code Sent

The EPP code is sent to the registrant’s email address on file for the domain. A confirmation message will read: “The EPP Code request was successful! It has been sent to the registrant’s email address for your domain.”
The EPP code is sent to the email address listed in the domain’s registrant contact information — not your DigitalFyre account email (unless they are the same). Make sure your registrant email is current before requesting the code. See Contact Information.

When You Need This

You need an EPP code when transferring your domain away from DigitalFyre to another registrar. See Transferring Out for the full process.
