Connection Settings
Replaceexample.com with your actual domain name.
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Incoming (IMAP) | mail.example.com |
| IMAP Port | 993 (SSL) |
| Incoming (POP3) | mail.example.com |
| POP3 Port | 995 (SSL) |
| Outgoing (SMTP) | mail.example.com |
| SMTP Port | 587 (STARTTLS) or 465 (SSL) |
| Username | Your full email address (e.g. hello@example.com) |
| Password | The password set when creating the mailbox |
| Authentication | Required |
We recommend IMAP over POP3. IMAP keeps your mail synced across all devices, while POP3 downloads and removes mail from the server.
SSL Certificate
Your mail server uses a valid SSL certificate. When setting up your client, ensure SSL/TLS is enabled for both incoming and outgoing connections to avoid security warnings.Troubleshooting
If your email client cannot connect:- Double-check the username is your full email address, not just the local part
- Confirm the password is correct by logging into Webmail first
- Ensure your email client is not blocking the connection due to an untrusted certificate — this should not occur with SSL enabled
