How It Works
Spam filtering on our platform operates at two levels:- Server level — Imunify360 scans all incoming mail at the server before delivery, blocking known spam sources and malicious content
- Mailbox level — SpamAssassin is available per mailbox for additional scoring and filtering
Configuring SpamAssassin Per Mailbox
Enable and Configure
Enable the spam filter and adjust the sensitivity score. A lower score is more aggressive. The default score of
7 is recommended for most users.Marking Mail as Spam or Not Spam
If spam is reaching your inbox, or legitimate mail is being filtered incorrectly:- Move unwanted mail to your Junk/Spam folder in webmail — this helps train the filter
- Check your Junk folder regularly for false positives and mark them as Not Spam to improve accuracy over time
If you are receiving a high volume of spam that filtering is not catching, contact support and we can review the server-level configuration for your domain.
