The iKVM Console tab on your server’s product details page provides remote console access to your bare metal server. This gives you a direct view of the server’s display output and keyboard/mouse input, as if you were physically sitting in front of the machine.

How It Works

The iKVM console connects through TenantOS, the out-of-band management platform. When you initiate a session, the connection is automatically locked to your current IP address for security.
  1. Navigate to your server’s product details page at console.digitalfyre.com
  2. Click the iKVM Console tab
  3. Launch the console session
You will see your server’s screen output in real time — boot messages, login prompts, or whatever the server is currently displaying.

When to Use the iKVM Console

OS Installation — If you are installing or reinstalling an OS yourself via PXE boot or ISO, the iKVM console is how you interact with the installer. SSH Unavailable — If SSH is down due to a misconfiguration, firewall lockout, or network issue, the iKVM console connects at the hardware level and is unaffected by OS-level network problems. Boot Diagnostics — View BIOS/UEFI output, boot errors, kernel panics, or filesystem check messages that occur before the OS network stack is available. BIOS/UEFI Access — Access the server’s firmware settings, change boot order, or configure hardware-level options.

Session Security

Each iKVM session is locked to the IP address that initiated it. If your IP changes (VPN disconnect, ISP rotation), the session will terminate, and you will need to start a new one.

TenantOS Access

Direct access to the TenantOS management interface is available upon request. Contact support@digitalfyre.com if you need direct TenantOS access beyond the standard iKVM console.
